The Dreams and Aspiration of the Young People

As a young person, there is this burning desire that resides in your heart, a desire to do good and achieve great things in your life. We all have an aspiration for greatness. Hold on to that feeling no matter the challenges that may cross your path toward achieving your dream. However, as a youth, we must know and accept that each and every dream we have in our hearts has a price tag on it. Working hard and SMART for your dreams is the key to their realization.

Every time you think about your dreams it is very important to ask yourself a number of basic questions. Such as: ‘What am I doing to really achieve my dreams? Am I interacting[networking] with the right people[professionals] who are in that field of my dreams? Am I informing God about my dreams and involving Him in every step I take? Are my dreams for vainglory or for the greater glory of God, for self-development, and for the betterment of others’ lives. ?

If your answers to these questions are ‘Yes’, then you are headed in the right direction and you are not far away from achieving them. But if your answers are ‘No’, then you need to sit down, genuinely reflect about your dreams’ plan of achieving them and then start acting right. You can’t achieve your dreams by merely wishing! Wake up and put effort towards your dreams.

I would be lying to you if I tell you that achieving your dreams will be a walk in the park. More often than not, it will not be easy and it will not be done in a short span of time. Yes, it will be a long journey with ups and downs coupled with small mistakes and failures. At other times, the journey will be crowned with some small successes that you need to celebrate and make them your motivating factor towards achieving the bigger dream.

Generally, on one hand life is full of obstacles that will tend to hinder you while working on your dreams but you should be ready to and willing to overcome them. While on the other hand, there are a lot of opportunities out there that you need to identify, take hold of them and use them as your stepping stone in realization of your dreams.

Importantly, once again I appeal to you to hold on to your dreams, review them from time to time, set small goals and objectives that will propel you into your life’s dreams. May ‘one step at time’ be your guiding principle along the journey of reaching your dreams. And once you achieve them, glorify God and humbly serve others.  And if, in any case, you don’t achieve your dreams, go back to your drawing board, come up with another dream, consult widely and ask the Holy Spirit to inspire you with achievable dreams. There are a lot of things to achieve in this world, broaden your vision and you will achieve much more than you previously thought. Ultimately, heaven is our homeland dream; the everlasting dream that we should always focus on and finally achieve it.
